Movement has always been my way of understanding and connecting with the world. Growing up in Taiwan, I was drawn to dance from an early age, exploring Traditional Chinese Dance, Ballet, Modern, and Contemporary styles, as well as Eastern movement practices like Tai Chi, Qigong and Martial Arts. This passion led me to Germany, where I earned my B.A. in Dance from Folkwang University in Essen and later performed with various international dance companies and theaters. Through these experiences, I developed a deep appreciation for the expressive power of movement and its ability to communicate beyond words.
Over time, I realized that dance was more than just performance, it was a profound tool for healing, self-expression, and connection. This realization led me to pursue a M.A. in Dance Movement Therapy at SRH Heidelberg Hochschule, where I explored how movement can support emotional well-being, self-discovery, and transformation. Along the way, I had the privilege of learning from inspiring mentors, including Dr. Sabine Koch and Dr. Helen Payne (Dance Movement Therapy), Ursula Schorn (Tamalpa Life/Art Process® - Touching Ground), Dr. Martha Eddy (Dynamic Embodiment®, BodyMind Dancing™, Body-Mind Centering®, Laban/Bartenieff Movement Studies, LIMS®), Jamie McHugh (Somatic Expression® / Eco-Somatic), Anna & Daria Halprin (Tamalpa Life/Art Process®), Eric Franklin (Franklin Method®), Dr. Eleanor Criswell-Hanna (Hanna Somatic Education®), Dr. Christine Caldwell (Moving Cycle), Regina Baumgart (Eutony), and René Veugelers, Harriët Teeuw, and Addie van der Kooy (Focusing & WholeBody Focusing). My exploration also includes Klein Technique™, Feldenkrais®, Continuum, Polyvagal Theory, Mettler-based Creative Dance, Authentic Movement, Breath-Body-Mind™ (BBM),Tension & Trauma Release Exercises(TRE®), Internal Family Systems (IFS), Hakomi, and Zen meditation, among others.
My work integrates dance, somatic practices, and creative expression to help individuals connect with their bodies in meaningful ways. These approaches have deepened my understanding of the body’s innate wisdom and its ability to cultivate balance, ease, and connection in daily life. I strive to create welcoming spaces where people feel safe to explore, express, and discover themselves. The practices I engage in continue to shape my own sense of embodied presence, both in my professional work and in everyday life.
Beyond my work, I am a lifelong learner, nature lover, and someone who finds joy in good food and meaningful conversations. I see movement as something for everyone, not just dancers. I've learned that the body holds a lot of insight when we take the time to listen. I invite you to move, sense, and explore with me. It’s a way to deepen awareness, feel more present, and relate more openly to ourselves and the world around us.
